Chlorhexidine oral rinse should be used after you have brushed and flossed your teeth.
Daily routine 2x a day
Brush with fluoride toothpaste and electric toothbrush for 2 minutes
Rinse the toothpaste completely from your mouth with water before using the oral rinse.
Floss (string floss preferred)
Use Mouth Rinse
The cap on the original container of chlorhexidine can be used to measure the 15 mL (½ fluid ounce) dose of this medicine. Fill the cap to the “fill line.” If you do not receive the dental rinse in its original container, make sure you have a measuring device to measure out the correct dose. Your pharmacist can help you with this. Swish chlorhexidine around in the mouth for 30 seconds. Then spit out. Use the medicine full strength. Do not mix with water before using. Do not swallow the medicine.
Brush with NO Toothpaste to avoid staining of the teeth
Avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing for 30 minutes
Discontinue use after 2 weeks, then use as needed.
Many adults with missing teeth may qualify, but an exam is needed to evaluate gum health, bone support, and overall oral health.
Treatment length varies from patient to patient. Healing time, the number of implants, and whether additional procedures are needed can all affect the timeline.
Implants should be brushed and flossed carefully, just like natural teeth. Routine checkups and cleanings are also important.
That depends on your needs. Implants often provide more stability and comfort, while dentures may still be appropriate for some patients.
If you are ready to restore your smile with a secure and natural-looking option, dental implants may be worth considering. Contact the office to schedule a consultation, review your treatment options, and learn which approach best fits your oral health needs.
